Quote: “It is time we had a true Mandalore. We have served the weak and foolish far too long.”
Lanarrik Tyvis, raised during the start of the Galactic Empire, had always wanted adventure and a way to make a name for himself. When he turned 18, he enlisted in the Imperial Infantry, expecting to return home a war hero. What he soon discovered was that there was little glory in fighting in the service of the Empire. However, Tyvis had few other options, and deserting the Imperial Army would make him a criminal.
Tyvis was an above-average soldier, and eventually ended up as a sergeant in charge of a squad of stormtroopers, assigned to a small outpost on the forest moon of Endor. Every Imperial present at the battle had come to expect a crushing defeat for the Rebellion. Tyvis was no exception. His hoped his superiors were right. Maybe his involvement in the Empire would pay off.
When he saw the second Death Star explode over Endor, Tyvis gave up hope. He and several squad members decided to disobey their orders to remain where they were, stole some speeder bikes, and abandoned their commanding officer and some of their comrades. Their plan was to surrender to the victorious Rebels and give them the location of an Imperial holdout outpost. This, they hoped, would ease their transition into starting a new life as members of the New Republic military. Instead Tyvis was taken prisoner. He and another Imperial prisoner planned a successful escape, but only Tyvis made it out alive.
Tyvis worked as a successful bounty hunter for a few years until the Mandalorian Revolution. Finally finding his path to glory, Lanarrik Tyvis joined the Mandalorians. He climbed the ranks and eventually found himself a High Commander, and even found a wife, the idealistic Raysha Fyrelon. Tyvis was present in several operations, and led the Mandalorian forces under the self-declared emperor of the Mandalorians, or Mandalore, Niko Malzic, at Mon Calamari. Initially, the assault went according to plan, but Tyvis hadn't prepared for the arrival of Imperial, ESS, Wolf, Viper, and Mandalorian Rebel fleets to assist the New Republic. His forces crumbling and severely outnumbered, Tyvis accepted an offer of alliance with the commander of the Imperial forces, Marcus Pitto, and retreated into hyperspace along with the Imperial fleet. His wife long dead and his faith in the Mandalore shattered, Tyvis had to start a new life yet again.
